Greetings I’m excited once again as I coach some of this years’ students through their college application to enrollment process. Experiencing their enthusiasm and sense of relief and accomplishment as they complete each section of the application process reinforces my belief that there is much hope, progress and success for our community. Their journey to true adulthood is beginning and I’m honored to be a part of it. Students are exploring college options, taking exams, doing college tours, and college comparison shopping. Families are sorting out funding sources while discussing best college options for their son or daughter. Guidance counsellors are writing references, assisting students with applications and scholarship information and ensuring their students are on track with graduation requirements. COLLEGE PREP 101 provides information of how to get the best educational options for each person and how to pay for it. Each person has a role to play in this awesome journey as our young adults navigate their way toward meeting their career goals via the college route. They are on the road to becoming the men and women who will lead our future. EDcellerate in collaboration with the Department of Education will host the 25th annual Bermuda International College and University Fair on December 5th. Come and meet the 28 international college recruiters. Parents and the general public are invited to come and get tips about college and scholarship preparation requirements.
