Parent Workshop: Gap Year?!! My Child is not Interested in Going to College or Work

Exploring Alternative Options: Many students are not ready to go to college or work. They’re not sure what they want to study, not emotionally ready to leave home, or just want a time out from studying.  They’re still smart and a gap year or semester is a great opportunity for them to learn about who they are and prepare themselves for the next chapter into adulthood. Let’s learn from a parent’s perspective what this is all about.  Hmmm, what will my child do? Not sit on my couch, surf the net, and eat my food while I go out to work!
