I have a guidance counselor at my high school. How can I benefit from working with an independent college prep coach?

EDcellerate’s independent college prep coaches focus only on college preparation and work with students and their families on a one on one basis providing personalized service. Unlike high school counsellors, we are not encumbered with typical school responsibilities beyond college counseling and high counsellor / student ratios. Our schedule is flexible, we are available in the evenings, on weekends and during the summer, and we even make house calls, thus providing an opportunity for the whole family to be involved in the process.

We do not replace the school counselor; in fact, we encourage our students to work closely with their school counselors and encourage students to fully utilize their school’s guidance resources.
